Celebrating Community at the 66th Crazy Days & La Grande Classic Car Show

Downtown La Grande came alive once again as families, friends, and visitors filled the streets for the 66th annual Crazy Days and the La Grande Classic Car Show. For two full days, the heart of La Grande buzzed with even more energy. Friday was the start of two days of sales and events for our downtown merchants. Saturday highlighted kids racing between activities, parents browsing sidewalk sales and street-side vendors, and neighbors catching up under the summer sun.

Local merchants rolled out some of their best deals of the year, offering special Crazy Days discounts, in-store drawings, product demos, and pop-up events that kept shoppers exploring from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, vendors lined Adams Avenue with handmade goods, fresh treats, and creative displays, while nonprofits shared their missions, hosted games, and connected with the community they serve.

Saturday’s Classic Car Show added even more excitement, showcasing polished chrome, restored classics, and hometown pride. One standout was Merle Feik’s remarkable 1915 Model T project, built from the ground up, each piece hand tooled. Even in its ongoing restoration, the craftsmanship and dedication behind the build drew admiration from car enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike.
