Eastern Oregon is on the cusp of summer and there is no better way to usher in the season than lifting a glass at the Eastern Oregon Beer Festival on June 15th at the Union County Fairgrounds. The event, the premier fundraiser for La Grande Main Street Downtown (LGMSD), supporting the mission to enhance and revitalize the historic downtown area, will be held from 2 PM until 9 PM, with a special VIP ticket offered allowing admission at 1 PM.
This is the Eastern Oregon Beer Festival’s 10th anniversary, and LGMSD has a jam-packed celebration planned. There will be three musical offerings, three food venders offering up a variety of delectables, 22 different brews, and a number of local craft vendors plying their wares.
Sarah, Nicole, Mary Ann, Jacque, Stephanie, Kerry, and I, along with the entire Beer Fest Committee have been working hard throughout the spring and things are getting down to crunch time. There were breweries to contact, vendors to recruit, and musicians to hire. We’ve been busy stuffing beer glasses with swag, designing and printing programs, and organizing all of the complicated logistics for set up, including finding volunteers and training beer captains.
La Grande Main Street Downtown will also be raffling off a gorgeous basket of selected goodies from Nature’s Pantry, an assortment of toys from Clanktronix, and gift certificates from La Grande Country Club and Alpine Archery and Fly. Stop by the LGMSD table near the entrance and check it out!
Tickets for the Eastern Oregon Beer Festival are $35 for general admission and $50 for VIP admission. VIP tickets, along with early admission, include extra tokens and surprise gifts when leaving.
